Workshops by Mysie Ferguson & Indira Koch
Another intense musical weekend is behind us – with coachings at Coaching in Music and the Junge Camerata Academica at the Béla Bartók Music School in Weißensee.
This weekend was dedicated to the Suzuki teacher examinations, with participants from Turkey, Egypt, Spain, and Germany – and they all did an outstanding job! It was accompanied by a Suzuki workshop led by Mysie Ferguson and an inspiring masterclass with Indira Koch.
Today, we had the pleasure of enjoying two beautiful final concerts, marking the grand finale of this fulfilling weekend.

Kiel Instrumental Competition 2024
Beim diesjährigen Kieler Instrumentalwettbewerb schnitten alle Kinder der Jungen Camerata Academica mit einem 1. Preis ab! Herzlichen Glückwunsch!
Das besondere am Kieler Instrumentalwettbewerb ist die Einführung von Leistungsstufen, sodass alle Teilnehmer sich abhängig von Alter und Spielzeit in die Kategorie mit Freude musizieren (für Einsteiger) und nach den Sternen greifen (für fortgeschrittene Musiker) einordnen können.
Am 10.02.24 fand das Preisträgerkonzert des 5. Kieler Instrumentalwettbewerbs statt,
dort wurden die Ergebnisse verkündet und die Urkunden sowie begehrte Pokale in feierlicher Atmosphäre verliehen.
Von der Jungen Camerata Academica nahmen teil:

Rückblick auf den Begegnungsworkshop 5. - 7. Februar 24
Encounter Workshop from 5 to 7 February 2024
The highlight of the workshop was the concert given by the many participants on the stage of the auditorium of the Ernst-Barlach-Gymnasium in front of an enthusiastic audience. You could see the joy and commitment of all the participants in making music together.
Under the direction of Isabel Morey Suau, the Cuerdas string ensemble from the Ernst-Barlach-Gymnasium, the Lernwerft string ensemble, the MitMachMusik string ensemble from Berlin, the children and young people from the Junge Camerata Academica, the teachers of the children and young people's ensembles, as well as the head teachers of the EBG and the Lernwerft took part.
The great willingness to support the parents of the musical children deserves special mention. Carpools were formed, delicious finger food buffets were set up, and mattresses and bedding were brought and picked up. Thank you very much!
Many thanks also go to the Lernwerft and the Ernst-Barlach-Gymnasium; without the support of the two schools, the workshop would not have been possible in this enriching form.

Jugend Musiziert 2024
Der 61. Regionalwettbewerb Jugend Musiziert fand für unsere Junge Camerata Streicherinnen am 04.02.24 im Ernst-Barlach-Gymnasium statt mit der Kategorie Duo: ein Streichinstrument und Klavier.
Es wurden an alle unsere Streicherinnen ausschließlich erste Preise vergeben!
Emily und Tilda erhielten eine Weiterleitung zum Landeswettbewerb nach Schleswig vom 15.-17.03.2024.
Jetzt heißt es fleißig weiterüben und von uns Daumen drücken!
Evni und Alva erhielten einen Konzertpreis: Podium für die jüngsten Künstler*innen.
Sie dürfen am 26.05.24 im Kieler Kultur Forum im Rahmen des Frequenz Festivals ihr Programm präsentieren.
Emily bekam mit ihrer Klavierpartnerin den Blohm-Stiftungs-Förderpreis verliehen.

Musikbegeisterte Kinder und Jugendliche treffen sich zur Konzertreise auf Mallorca
Vom 10.10.22 bis 16.10.22 sind einige der SchülerInnen und LehrerInnen nach Mallorca gereist, um dort ihre Herbstferien musikalisch zu verbringen und großartige Konzerte an verschiedenen Orten der Insel zu geben.
Das ganze Jahr über wurde für die Konzertreise ein großartiges und abwechslungsreiches Programm einstudiert. Die Kinder und Jugendlichen haben gemeinsam mit ihren LehrerInnen geprobt und sich intensiv vorbereitet. Es wurden viele Konzerte verteilt auf der Insel gegeben und auch gemeinsam mit SchülerInnen aus Österreich und aus Mallorca musiziert.

Concert tour to Mallorca 2023 · Young Camerata Academica on the road
The Young Camerata Academica's concert tour to Mallorca took place from October 16-2, 2023.
The children and young people of the Camerata and their families stayed at the attractive Hotel Castell de Mar in Cala Millor. In the mornings they made music and rehearsed, and in the late afternoon or evening they went to concerts in Cala Millor, Son Servera, Artà and Port de Pollenca. There was also plenty of time for leisure activities, such as swimming in the pool or the sea, walks on the beach and games evenings.
On Sunday the children were allowed to play in the impressive cathedral of Palma during mass.
Highlights of the concerts included the pieces marching violins by W. Kaiser-Lindemann, which was composed especially for the Young Camerata Academica, Navarra by P. de Sarasate, which the advanced young people played with impressive virtuosity, and Grabriel's Oboe by E. Morricone with an expressive solo by Amèlia.
The varied program was very well received and we were delighted with the applause and praise from the audience and loyal visitors who come to the concerts every year.
In Port de Pollenca, our string players rehearsed and played with Mallorcan children and young people. They enjoyed a traditional paella for lunch and spent some pleasant hours together in the picturesque town.
All in all, the week went by far too quickly and the children and young people returned happily to northern Germany with many new experiences and impressions.
